It's taken more than 60 years, but Minnesota finally has a memorial to those who fought in World War II. Some of the most touching moments were not part of the grand ceremony, but off to the side where each veteran who attended was personally thanked and given a medal. My family spent a little time at the World War I museum in Kansas City a week ago, you can see some pics at my blog. There are only 3 American WWI veterans alive today.
