Dog Rescued from Pipe!
June 13, 2007

Mark Pierce from LeRoy, MN brings us a scary story with a happy ending:

This is what our dog had to endure for over 24 hours after she went chasing after a bunny. Her head was stuck in an old stove pipe. After figuring out how to get her out, and what tools to use, it took us over 30 minutes to cut her out. The other German Shepherd in the picture (Tommy, her mate) is the one who actually found her and alerted us after we searched for over 24 hours. I took Tommy to her last known spot and he located her and alerted us to where she was within a couple of minutes.

She seems to be fine, except for an abrasion to one of her ears and a superficial cut to her chest. It was a after thought to put music by the Traveling Wilburys song: End of the Line, this pup was at the end of her line. She's one lucky dog.

OMFG...and I wouldn't know how to begin to rectify this situation. So happy to hear the pup is ok.
