SXSW: The Deaths March 16, 2007
Despite their name, The Deaths are not remotely goth. American Gothic, maybe. I had to go all the way to Austin, TX to see this Minneapolis-via-Fargo band play for the first time and I liked what I heard: Lots of 60's influences and a sense of mourning in the fields.
MSPmag's Megan Wiley has more thoughts in her Wednesday writeup.
