Rebuilding New Orleans February 23, 2007
While John Edwards was helping landscape a yard in New Orleans, some nice folks from a church group were gutting a house down the street. Todd Daniel gave me a tour of one devastated house in the upper Ninth Ward and explained how much work remains to be done there.

Excuse my ignorance but it's just over roughly a year and a half since hurricane Katrina and we're still cleaning up. Students in the Atlanta University Center are still spending either weekends or holiday breaks down in New Orleans helping to clean up down there. I think it's still amazing that we're cleaning up but I am glad that there are those around who are willing to help do the job.
