Postcard from the Frozen North says: The first snowstorm of the season is a big deal, especially if you're in second grade. It rarely amounts to much, except for the promise of winter fun to come.

That is pretty. I always like the first snow, I try not to think too much about the rest.

I love the anticipation, driving under heavy clouds, seeing the cold rain evolve into fat snowflakes as my wipers flick them off.
