Prefab home design/build firm Hive Modular and landscape design/build firm rosenlof/lucas teamed up for a cool project. At the end of this video is an invitation to a party. The project was the focus of an episode of an HGTV program.
This video was made by superstar musician-filmmaker-landscaper Mike Brady.

This is an interesting housing approach - the video spends too much time on the fence - which looks kind of ugly and prison-like anyway. How about more about the advantages of this kind of building. Why go this route? It has modern design that goes together fast (must mean cost savings). For some people that's enough, but I'm sure there is more to recommend this. Energy efficiency? Better use of materials?

Yea! I'm invited! Yea!
I wished the video showed more of the house and less of the fence.
Cool concept. They do it here in Grenada, though. Only they use real shipping containers instead of wood boxes made to look like shipping containers... A wee bit less energy efficent in a Minnesota winter I suppose.
