Toxic Shockers
June 30, 2006

Kickball is hot hot hot in Minneapolis these days. Alexis got me out to see her team Toxic Shockers do battle with Uptown Ballstars. Ice beer, yelling, and smoking are strongly encouraged.

Beer, yelling, smoking? I gotta get me some of this kickball action!

That was great!

Janelle is wise.

Thanks for coming out, Chuck. I'm sorry we couldn't produce a win for you, but at least we tied the damn thing.

Shockers!

Awesome work Chuck! Thanks for coming out to support the team. I think Taylor's freshly burned Shocker soundtrack made the video. Super rad I say.

wait, so who won? it wasn't really a tie, was it?

I think the "cig handoff" is a moment that should go down in kickball history.

We swear a lot, too.

Not sure how I missed this until today... but *awesome* I need to go out and watch a game - and bring friends.

So chuck, this kickball thing - Are there legues and such? It's very cool. I wonder if anybody is doing it here in Rapid City? I'll have to check.

Now I have a question about the whole back light situation. Your groovy Sony HV1 or whatever the number is - do you ever go manual exposure, and if not, why not? I guess I like to see folks faces more. I've heard you mention that you thought that there was some noise in low light. What do you think about that now?

yep, kickball leagues and the whole deal. who knew?

sure, i sue manual exposure all the time. you're probably on a PC and it looks darker. as the sun was setting i was bumping up the exposure. normally though i would have color corrected in Final Cut and brought up the midrange (so you can see peoples faces).

but please see me comment re: started editing at 3:30am. :-)

If you're ever up for playing some pick-up coed dodgaball, come to www.mndodgeball.com. We play every Wed and Sat at Kenwood park in Uptown
