All Hail Summer
June 20, 2006

After seeing An Inconvenient Truth, I can't help but view our backyard as a microcosm for global warming. Everything sprouted and blossomed earlier than ever, only to be decimated by the biggest hail we've ever seen in our lives. Now, if we can only get the squirrels to stop driving those little gas-guzzling Hummers...

I do miss Mooki.
That sucks about your garden Lori; that hail was huge.
Was that just last week. Jen and I got some hail on Friday, I think, but it was pea sized. Then again, since we're on a corner lot, I had to go and clear the storm-sewer drain because it was covered in leaves and muck.

oh man, that was intense! I drove through that same storm I think, and we got some hail but it wasn't THAT big. Yikes! Hope the garden can recover!

W.O.W!!
I loved the ominous rolling thunder in the background. It really made this clip 10x more enjoyable - it pulls you into the storm.

Great job!

Holy crap! St. Paul didn't get anything quite like that, but Uptown did. This is exactly what it looked like seven years ago, when my Jetta was flooded up to the dashboard.

Oh My God!!!! That was insane! I've never seen hail that size--I had no idea it could get that big! I hope your garden recovers...I'm really glad Mookie was in the house with you guys...he could have gotten brained by that hail! So could YOU for that matter! Ouch!

Holy crap!! You could seriously sustain a head injury from getting hit in the head from one of those. That's crazy! I've never seen anything like that. Glad you caught it on tape, and hope your garden made it through OK.

Wow. Denis drove through that. He said it was bad, but I was in Northfield having so much fun at my 5th year college reunion that I didn't realize it was that nasty!
