The Strokes + Har Mar
March 15, 2006

A real rock treat on my last night of SXSW. I bought a scalped ticket for the sold-out Strokes show, and who should hit the stage but our man Har Mar Superstar. Sweet! Actually it wasn't Har Mar, but the real man behind the St.Paul legend - Sean Tillman. His old band Sean Na Na just finished recording a new album, and this was their first gig in three years. I was recording from far away, so prepare for lo-fi shakycam action.

That was freakin' faboo. Way to go Chuck. Shackycam aside, the sounds was actually pretty decent. Thanks for living out our SXSW dreams vicariously.

Its funny to see about 30 lcd screens floating around, atop stretched out arms in the front row...maybe we will see some more pics of this preformance out there soon.

I'm still in awe at the level of fame Mr. Tillman has achieved.

Anyone know what song they were singing? It doesn't seem like they're on tour together... The Strokes are going to be at the orphium April 11th.

Nice. I really like Sean Na Na (the band) better than Har Mar Superstar. I'm glad to hear that they'll be coming back.

So jealous. This is the one show I probably could have gotten into had I given it a shot. Maybe next year.
