Today is VoxPop, short for vox populi, "voice of the people." I asked people of all stripes one slightly loaded question in downtown Minneapolis. Everyone who responded is in this video, save for one victim of equipment failure.
I was hoping for more diversity of reaction, but hardly anyone found much good to say about President Bush. I had the hardest time getting older white guys in suits to stop and talk. Maybe I should try Apple Valley next time? Suburbanites with cameras, email me. We need you.
Check out reaction to the same question from all around the country (plus Germany!) in today's Rocketboom episode.

You now don't have to register to comment, but I've got comment approval on to keep the spammers at bay... baby step, baby steps!
I also have to say it was really fun to get out and talk to people for this episode. I encourage y'all to do the same.
This is one of my favorite Minnesota Stories yet. From the incredible night shots of Mpls, to the wonderfully stylish music, to the honest reactions from those who were questioned... all around it's a polished, thoughtful, and memorable piece of video.
Great video, how do you even find people to stop, and how did you shoot in what looked to be stores. I guess it may just be around here, but anywhere I take my camera I am given 2 options:
1) Turn it off.
2) Leave.

I did shoot one question in a small hair salon, and a little bit of Marshall Fields securita camera on the way out. The rest was in skyways or outside. But yeah, they can ask you to turn it off or leave if they want... I'm sure I'll get that one of these days. (Besides this time)
Wow, what a great way to get an opinion! I loved this video for your openness with the question. Sweet. Let me know if you want to do something like this again and I'll do it in Seattle too.
