October 14, 2005

Urban Explorers: Into the Darkness delves into the underground culture of urban exploration. From Minneapolis to Paris, St. Paul-based filmmaker Melody Gilbert follows young adventure-seekers through the forgotten and abandoned landscapes of our civilization.

Get a sneak-preview of this documentary this Saturday, Oct. 15 at St. Paul's Bobo Club (more details). You'll have the chance to meet the filmmaker and some explorers, bid on silent auction goodies (including a Blogumentary DVD), take in some live tunage, and help this film see the light of day.

Wow. This is really cool! As a younger man, I did a lot of this kind of stuff. I remember squeezing through sewer tunnels, edging along a 3rd story ledge of an abandoned building ... good times. Of course, now that I'm older and medically insured, I wouldn't do anything close to this. Hm. Something funny there.
