Raking Leaves
October 12, 2005

Starfire says: "I went back to Austin, MN. my hometown last weekend and did some raking with my Mom and Nephews. It brings back so many memories. Once my brother hit me over the head with a shovel while I was buried in a pile of leaves. It hurt."

Vlogging, in this manner, is another form of personal communication. When complimented with descriptive aural elements and personal POV framing - the combination makes for a delicate and exquisite composition. But then, I come to expect that from MS. Nice job.

Yeah, love the RakeCam but also the elements that help elevate your nephews from home-movie objects to subjects. The low angles, selective slow motion, and ambient soundscape. Nice.

Plus it helps that your older nephew can be such a serious guy.

I just watched the video of people jumping into the water at The Deeps in Duluth and I was pleased. I'm from Duluth but I've been living in SE Asia for the past three years so that clip was a little slice of goodness.
