Everyone knows squirrels are totally evil, right? In our last apartment, a crazy squirrel made a nest in our deck and tried to jump on Lori whenever she tended to the plants. Now we live in a house, and squirrels have holed up in our attic, chewing the very foundation of our home and sanity. But if there's one thing Lori won't tolerate, it's squirrel-munched tomatoes. This is our varmint-trapping adventure.

Oh man...that squirrel was MAD! Don't think I have ever hear a squirrel growl like that before.
That was great training for me. I have to do the same thing. We bought two sizes however - we got racoons breaking in too!

I have pesky squirrels too. Where did you buy the trap?

Markus, how are the raccoons getting in?
Brian and I had a weird occurrence last fall, a family climbed our blk walnut tree and ran around our rooftop (they had no fear, I tell you.). Flippin frightening when it's 2am and no animal control! They never made it into the house, but we trimmed all branches so they couldn't bridge over onto the house. To this day, we cannot figure out what they wanted or were looking for (it's not like we have a brimming trash can sitting on the roof). Why OUR house, we'll never know...
i didn't know squirrels could growl like that either. of course, now we have new squirrel(s) eating the tomatoes. or maybe this one made it all the way back, over the river and through the woods?
Did you spray paint the squirrel? They have been known to travel for miles to return to their territory.........Anyway that's what my Dad told me.

I live in the forest! You think you got problems...We had over 50 red squirrels in our yard...house...garage...everywhere. No live trappen here. We had to take drastic action to rid them from our home...don't tell Pita or they'll be on me!

I've never heard a squirrel make a sound like that before.
Back home we would have shot them and called them dinner. I hear they are good.
You know, he was a little upset about being trapped but the real problem he had was with the soy nut butter. I'd be pissed too if I got trapped and only had that health food crap to snack on. You could have at least given him bacon or something good.

That was an awesome video!
The Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley also rents out live traps.
He was quite the cutie.
P.S. Squirrels are not evil; Malicious, but fun loving.
