Leroy Glazier's Hand-Made Guitar
August 18, 2005

The midwest has a long, proud history of olde-tyme country and rock, a history I'm sadly ignorant of beyond Sherwin Linton and parts of The Big Hits of Mid-America. Lots of those guys are still rockin' today, among them Leroy Glazier. Leroy plays in the house band for the Midwest Country Music Theater. Here, he talks about his hand-made guitar before playing at the Minnesota Rock and Country Hall of Fame's Music and Memories exhibit, now open at Stearns County Museum.

My folks and I enjoy the Midwest Country Music every Saturday night on RFD here in Washington, IA. I think you are very fortunate to have such a talented house band. Mr. Savage and my personal favorite Mr. Leroy Glazier's weekly performances are superb.
Please pass on our comments to the sponsors and producers of the show.
    Thank You,

I emjoy the Midwest Country Show every Saturday nite on RFD-TV here in Grant Co, West Va.. There's a great need for more similar traditional TV country & western programs, in place of "crock & crap". Long live the great Midwest Country Music Show.

The whole family enjoys Midwest Country Band especially LeRoy Glazier. It is so nice to find music that spans the generations. We would like to purchase a CD or video but we can't find them. Can you please tell us where they can be purchased or better yet if we can order them online. Thanks. Lynn Hoffman

I had a country band for 30 yrs, and can appreciate the great house band there. I know David Frizell loves them when they back him. The whole crew there is just wonderful!!! Thanks to all of you!!!

Hello Leroy, I am John Williams,I Live in Sacramento, Ca, and since we got Dish Tv I have watched every one of your shows on Midwest Country. I have to say you are a great finger picking guitartst. I love to hear that style picking, like Merle Travis Thom Bresh etc. So on some future shows I would love to hear do some solos, because I know you could do a number on the Nine pound Hammer. so please do some of that picking, I know the fans will like it. I am one your biggest fans.
